Samsung Think Tank Team collaborated with a diverse team of SCAD students to develop the future of robotics in the household.
THE DEFINED OPPORTUNITY.
THE DESIGN OUTCOME
FORM
Project Coda is a robotic solution that can extend user capabilities by optimizing household surface space, constructing healthy routines, and completing menial tasks with ease in co-living urban spaces..
FUNCTION
Our users’ tasks can be categorized into basic routines. We call these routines “modalities.” If we enable the user with the ability to not only organize their task surface, but also organize their time associatively, they can shorten the time between space allocation and task completion as they desire.
CONCLUSION
Being a driven and cost conscious demographic, Gen Z in urban co-living spaces face a specific challenge: efficiently allocating their space and time to complete their tasks. Our SCADpro team saw this as a great opportunity to help Samsung Think Tank Team design Project Coda, a robotic system dedicated to helping the user smoothly switch between task modes and balance their daily routine in a healthy fashion.
